About Me

I knew I wanted to be a therapist from a very young age. I was always curious about human behavior. I wanted to know what made people tick or behave in a particular way.

As a teen, I struggled with my own mental health and found my psychology class to be a welcome respite for beginning understanding about myself and humans in general. My own journey with therapy and healing inspired me to pursue becoming a therapist. I wanted to help others feel the support and compassion that I had received that was so integral for my healing.

I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University. I have worked both in the private and non-profit sectors with many diverse populations and have extensive training and experience in the areas of parenting, trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

I wholeheartedly value and respect each individual with which I am privileged to work with. As a client of therapy myself, I deeply appreciate the incredible vulnerability, courage and strength that go into the process. I am a married person and parent, an immigrant with deep understanding of diversity, and bring this rich life experience to my work.

I offer psychotherapy and art therapy for children, families, and adults. I work collaboratively with you to help create realistic goals that address the issues that are most important to you. I believe in your own inner strengths and work to help you elicit them and integrate them into your present life. I am your accountability ally and in that, gently help keep you focused on your goals. I will honor your process with a combination of compassion, warmth, humor, empathy and candidness.

My style is easygoing but direct. I work collaboratively with you as I truly believe in your power and ability to heal. I like to keep things light, incorporating humor and play whenever it’s appropriate. All while staying focused on your goals and holding you accountable. I care deeply about your growth and success and want you to feel empowered in your life.
